Numbness/burning in hands & legs (Neuropathy):
Diseases affecting axon or myelin part of a nerve can cause neuropathy. Diabetes, vitamin deficiency, viral infection, auto-immune disease, drugs can cause neuropathy. The patient can have numbness, burning sensation, slippage of chappals and weakness of limbs. Proper treatment of these problems can give a very good relief to the patients.


Weakness of hands & legs
Some patients will have sudden or gradual difficulty in using limbs on one or both sides. They have difficulty in raising the arm above shoulder, gripping objects, lifting weight, climbing stair, getting up from sitting and gripping the chappals with toes. There may be diseases affecting muscle or nerve and they can be diagnosed with nerve conduction study (NCS) and electromyography (EMG).
